LETS GET STARTED

Making the Most of Every Session

To help you get the best out of every session, we’ve structured our programme based on player experience and volleyball ability. This allows us to offer tailored sessions that suit your level, while ensuring everyone in the group trains alongside others of similar ability.

To maintain this structure, we regularly observe players—even those already part of our growing volleyball community. This helps us place everyone in the most suitable sessions for their current level and ensure the best experience for all participants.

New or Returning After a Break?
If it’s your first time with us, or if you’ve been away for more than 3 weeks from our sessions, you’ll need to attend a coaching session and seek approval again before joining any higher level coaching or game-based session. You’ll find full details of each booking type and our booking calendar further down this page.

Open & Intermediate Games or Coached
These sessions are invite-only and can be accessed once a coach has assessed your current level and approved.

We understand that you may feel ready for a particular session—please feel free to email us for clarification or to request a reassessment.

   •    Under 18? Be sure to visit our dedicated Junior Volleyball page.
   •    Open Sessions take place at different venues across London.

Beginners & Improvers Coaching

Coaching for all sessions are open to all levels (suitable for people who want to get into volleyball, as well as people who are already playing and need professional (coached) help with improving volleyball skills. If you are a beginner, or joining the Giants for the first time without actual experience before in volleyball or if it has been a while since you have last played volleyball, we would advise that you start with a coached session. You will have a lot more fun joining the intermediate groups, once you learn the rules! Please note that beginners can improve over time their skills and at some point get themselves to intermediate level and start joining games only sessions. Find a coaching session in the calendar below!

Intermediate,women’s and men’s only coaching

This is where our players start getting into positions and rotations and more thorough learning of the rules of the game. If it has been a while since you have last played volleyball, you would need to start with an "open coaching for all" session.

 GAMES ONLY

These are 'GAMES ONLY' sessions, suitable for players who are regularly playing volleyball and are familiar with the rules of the game and can actually play in games. This means you want to play and have fun, but take the games seriously. You know the rules of the game, and can use both hands to set, attack and defend with the goal of keeping the ball in the air. All players need to attend at least one training a week to improve their level through and  maintain their invitation at the open or intermediate games/coaching. You can book your spot in open coaching trainings in the calendar below to be assessed as a player!

intermediate or Advance GAMES

This is invite only for serious and competitive level players. Our sessions are structured in a way, where the level is competitive, and players attend to play the position they have been playing over a period of time. Players must be competitive and can play in positions well. This also means you are highly skilled, and are not afraid of the ball hitting you (other teams can spike well). You can move around, know the rotations, and can cover the court to cover your teammates and are willing to and able to play an alternative position when/if asked. Please reach out to us should you wish to be assessed for these games

GLOW-IN-THE-DARK VOLLEYBALL

We run Glow-in-the-Dark volleyball events and games regularly for U-18s and adults - a fun, themed way to enjoy volleyball under UV lights with glowing balls, court lines and music.

To keep things safe, enjoyable and fair, approval is required in advance from our coaches at one of our “Coaching for All” sessions.

All players must wear a white or neon top so they can be clearly seen on court.
Glow accessories and UV face paint are encouraged - come ready to shine!
