London under 15 girls Grand Prix Impossibly close score thwarts Giants

Saturday October 19th provided a day of non-stop entertainment for the players and their many supporters and culminated in an exciting final between Giants U15 girls and Graveney & Malory Eagles girls. In front of a large crowd both teams were justifiably nervous at times but the standard of volleyball was a thing to behold as momentum swung back and forth until G&ME claiming victory by that narrowest of margins . Giants 24 - 25 G&ME. A gripping end to what was a fantastic advertisement for junior volleyball in London. A massive well done to all our Giants girls and coach Orhan Çolak.

Twelve teams from across the capital had played their way through pool groups and then on to position play offs. They were drawn from hosts, Richmond, Polonia Academy and Willesden, All appear to have enjoyed the day, benefitted from the competition and are looking forward to the next leg. "Giants too were delighted," Çisel Ormancı said afterwards. "It’s a great achievement considering Giants U15 girls have only played together as a team for less than a year.”

"They’ll also compete in the national under 16s this year along with the under 16 Giants boys' team.
