London Giants Crowned Champions🏆

In a weekend to remember at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, London Giants Volleyball Club were crowned champions of the English Men’s Volleyball Super League for the very first time, completing a remarkable journey that, just a few years ago, seemed almost unimaginable.

Following a well-earned semi-final victory on Saturday, April 5, the team returned to the court the next day for the gold medal match — delivering a composed, committed performance to secure the win and lift the national trophy.

In an extraordinary feat, the Giants have claimed the top-flight title at their first attempt, having earned promotion through the play-offs at the end of last season. Their rapid ascent is a testament to the club’s ambition, values, and tireless dedication to progress.

The result represents a major milestone in the history of the young club. Founded only a few years ago with modest resources and big ambitions, London Giants began as a small collective of individuals passionate about Volleyball and determined to build something meaningful from the ground up. While the club has since evolved into a serious competitive force, it has remained true to its core purpose: to raise standards within the sport, create opportunity, and foster a positive, inclusive sporting culture.

“I am delighted with the result over the weekend. I want to thank the players and staff for taking time out of their lives and committing to the cause. We have overcome a great deal of adversity and, considering the short time we had together, we managed to become a well-oiled machine by the end of the season. This weekend was the cherry on top – we came up against well-established and well-prepared sides in a format that did not favour us, but the team never backed down and fought to the very end.”
